The Invisible AI Layer
Many tools that you don't think of as "AI tools" now contain AI components. Your email client may use AI to suggest replies to messages. Your word processor may have AI writing assistance built in. Your project management tool may have AI-generated summaries of tasks and projects. Your customer relationship management system may have AI-powered insights based on your sales data. Your calendar may have AI-powered scheduling. Your spreadsheet application may have AI-powered data analysis.
Each of these is a data exposure point you may not have deliberately evaluated. You made a trust decision about the host application — you chose to use Outlook, or Google Workspace, or Jira, or Salesforce — but that trust decision didn't explicitly extend to the AI components those applications have added.
You may not even know these AI features are active in tools you use daily.
